Description
Juicy Fruits Shooter is a casual arcade puzzle game developed by a small independent studio and released in 2023 for mobile platforms and web browsers. The game presents a grid-based playing field populated by various colorful fruit icons, including cherries, oranges, watermelons, and grapes. The objective is to clear the board by launching fruit projectiles from a fixed launcher at the bottom of the screen. The game employs a match-three mechanic where three or more identical fruits must be grouped together to trigger their removal. The grid is static, with fruits arranged in a fixed formation that does not shift downward after matches. A scoring system awards points based on the number of fruits cleared in a single shot, with bonus multipliers for chain reactions. The game includes a limited number of shots per level, and failure to clear a target number of fruits results in a level restart. Power-ups, such as bombs that clear a radius of fruits or color-changing wild fruits, appear periodically. The visual design uses bright, saturated colors and simple geometric shapes for the fruits, with a clean, uncluttered interface. The game does not feature a narrative or character progression; it focuses solely on score-based level completion. Sound effects are limited to a single popping noise for each fruit removal and a chime for level completion.
Instructions
Gameplay and controls are executed through a single touch or click input. The player aims the launcher by dragging a finger or mouse across the screen, which rotates the launcher’s trajectory line. Releasing the input fires the current fruit projectile along the indicated path. The projectile travels in a straight line until it contacts a fruit on the grid, at which point it adheres to the nearest adjacent fruit of the same type. If the projectile lands adjacent to two or more identical fruits, those fruits are removed from the grid. The game displays the next three fruit types in a queue at the top of the launcher. The player can swap the current fruit with the next in the queue by tapping a swap button located beside the launcher. The launcher cannot be moved horizontally; only its angle can be adjusted. The game provides a visual indicator showing the predicted landing point of the projectile as a small crosshair on the grid. No keyboard or controller support is available; all interactions are touch-based or mouse-based. The game automatically advances to the next level upon clearing the required number of fruits, with no manual confirmation needed. A pause button in the upper right corner halts gameplay and presents options to restart the level or return to the main menu.
