Description

Fishdom Online is a puzzle-strategy game developed by Playrix. It was released as a free-to-play title for web browsers and later adapted for mobile platforms. The game combines match-three puzzle mechanics with aquarium management and decoration. Players progress through levels by solving tile-matching puzzles to earn coins, stars, and other resources. These resources are used to purchase fish, plants, and decorative items for a virtual aquarium. The game features a series of themed aquariums, each with distinct visual styles and unlockable content. Fishdom Online operates on a freemium model, offering in-app purchases for premium currency and boosters. The game does not include a narrative storyline; its primary objective is the completion of puzzle levels and the aesthetic customization of the aquarium environment. The game is designed for single-player play, with no multiplayer or cooperative modes. Leaderboards track player progress based on level completion and score achievements. The game’s visual presentation uses bright, cartoonish graphics with animated fish and aquatic flora. Sound effects and background music are present but do not affect gameplay. Fishdom Online is available on multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, and desktop via social networking sites. The game receives periodic updates that introduce new puzzle levels, aquarium themes, and limited-time events.

Instructions

Gameplay in Fishdom Online is centered on a match-three puzzle board. The player swaps adjacent tiles to create a line of three or more identical items. Matching four or more tiles generates special power-ups, such as bombs, rockets, or dynamite, which clear larger areas of the board. Each puzzle level has a specific goal, such as collecting a set number of a particular tile type, removing obstacles like seaweed or ice, or achieving a target score within a limited number of moves. The player earns stars based on performance; three stars are awarded for completing the goal with moves remaining. The interface displays the move counter, score, and goal progress at the top of the screen. Below the puzzle board, a toolbar contains boosters that can be activated before or during a level. Boosters include extra moves, tile shuffles, and color bombs. After completing a level, the player is taken to the aquarium screen. Here, the player can spend coins and stars to purchase fish, which are categorized by species and cost. Fish are placed into the tank by dragging them from a shop menu. Decorative items, including plants, rocks, castles, and bubbles, are similarly purchased and positioned. The aquarium screen allows the player to zoom, rotate, and pan the view. The player can also feed fish by tapping on them, which produces coins. The game automatically saves progress to the player’s account. Controls are limited to touch or mouse input; no keyboard shortcuts are used. The game provides a tutorial for the first several levels, explaining basic match-three rules and aquarium management.
