Instructions
Gameplay is presented from a side-scrolling perspective with a fixed camera angle. The player controls Unit-7 using a standard input device. Movement is mapped to the directional pad or left analog stick. The jump action is assigned to a single button, with a second button used for a short-range dash that can pass through certain narrow gaps. Interaction with objects, such as pulling levers or inserting gear tokens into receptacles, is performed by pressing a dedicated action button when the automaton is adjacent to the target. The core mechanic involves manipulating the environment by rotating gears. The player can target a gear with a cursor controlled by the right analog stick or mouse, then press a trigger button to rotate it clockwise or counterclockwise. This rotation alters the position of platforms, redirects steam flows, or opens sealed doors. A secondary ability allows Unit-7 to absorb and store a limited charge of kinetic energy from spinning gears, which can be released to temporarily power inactive machinery. The game provides a contextual interface; when the automaton approaches an interactive element, a subtle icon appears on the screen. The player can access a map screen by pressing a designated button, which displays discovered sectors and marks the location of key objectives.
