Description
Speed Master Cars is a racing video game developed by Digital Art Studio and released in 2023 for multiple platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game focuses on high-speed circuit racing across a variety of fictional international tracks. Players select from a roster of over 30 licensed vehicles, ranging from classic sports cars to modern hypercars, each with distinct performance statistics in acceleration, top speed, handling, and braking. The game features a career mode where players progress through a series of championships, earning currency to purchase upgrades and new vehicles. A time trial mode allows for individual lap record attempts, while a split-screen multiplayer mode supports up to four players. The visual presentation employs a realistic art style with dynamic weather effects and day-night cycles that alter track conditions. The sound design includes engine recordings from actual vehicles and ambient environmental audio. The game does not include a narrative or character-driven story.
Instructions
Gameplay in Speed Master Cars is structured around circuit racing on closed tracks. The primary control scheme uses a standard gamepad or keyboard. The accelerator is mapped to the right trigger or the up arrow key, and the brake to the left trigger or the down arrow key. Steering is controlled with the left analog stick or the left and right arrow keys. The handbrake is assigned to the A button or the spacebar, used for sharp turns and drifting. Gear shifting is automatic by default, but a manual transmission mode can be enabled in the settings, with upshift and downshift mapped to the X and B buttons or the Q and E keys. A rear-view camera is activated by pressing the right analog stick or the R key. The game provides a heads-up display showing speed, gear, lap time, position, and a mini-map of the track layout. Collisions with other vehicles or barriers result in speed reduction and visual damage, but no permanent vehicle destruction. A rewind feature, limited to three uses per race, allows the player to reverse time and correct mistakes. Drifting is performed by simultaneously pressing the handbrake and steering, which builds a boost meter. Filling the meter and releasing the handbrake grants a temporary speed increase. Pit stops are not present; vehicle wear is not simulated.
