Description
Baby Taylor Fun Park is a digital simulation game developed for young children, typically within the age range of four to eight years. The game places the player in the role of a caregiver for the titular character, Baby Taylor, during a visit to an amusement park. The primary objective is to manage a series of sequential tasks that mimic a real-world trip to a fun park, including purchasing tickets, selecting rides, and ensuring Baby Taylor’s basic needs such as hunger and thirst are met. The game environment is presented in a two-dimensional, cartoon-style art format with bright, saturated colors. Each area of the park, such as the carousel, the roller coaster, and the food court, is depicted as a distinct, interactive scene. The game does not feature a competitive element or a scoring system; instead, it focuses on completing a linear narrative of activities. The player’s success is measured by the completion of all planned events without allowing Baby Taylor’s happiness or energy levels to drop to zero. The game is designed to be non-violent and educational, introducing concepts of sequencing, cause and effect, and basic resource management.
Instructions
Gameplay is controlled entirely through point-and-click or tap interactions on a touchscreen device. The player begins at the park entrance, where a click on the ticket booth initiates the purchase of an entry pass. After entering, a series of icons appear on the screen, representing different attractions. The player must click on an attraction icon to select it, then click on Baby Taylor to direct her to that location. Each ride or activity requires a specific sequence of clicks: for example, on the carousel, the player must click on a horse to seat Baby Taylor, then click a start button to begin the ride. After the ride concludes, a pop-up menu may appear offering choices for the next activity, such as visiting the snack stand or the restroom. To manage Baby Taylor’s needs, the player clicks on her to view a status bar showing hunger, thirst, and happiness levels. Clicking on the food stand allows the player to select an item from a displayed menu, which then must be dragged to Baby Taylor’s mouth. The game provides no text-based instructions during play; all feedback is visual, with Baby Taylor reacting with animated gestures to indicate satisfaction or distress. The interface includes a small map icon in the corner, which, when clicked, shows the park layout and the player’s current location. The game ends when all planned activities are completed, returning the player to the main menu.
