Description
Word Search Universe Animals is a digital puzzle game developed for mobile platforms and web browsers. The game presents a grid of letters in which players must locate the names of various animal species. The animal names are drawn from a broad taxonomic range, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates. Each puzzle grid is populated with letters arranged in a rectangular array, and the target words are placed horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, and may be written forward or backward. The game includes multiple difficulty levels, which affect grid size and word count. A timer is optionally displayed to track completion time. The visual design uses a clean, high-contrast interface with a nature-themed color palette. Sound effects are limited to a subtle confirmation tone upon word discovery. The game does not include narrative elements or character progression. Its primary function is to provide a structured vocabulary recognition exercise within a themed context.
Instructions
Gameplay and controls are executed entirely through touch or mouse input. The player is presented with a letter grid and a list of animal names to find. To select a word, the player taps or clicks on the first letter of the target word and then drags the cursor or finger across the subsequent letters in the correct sequence. The selection is confirmed when the player releases the input. If the traced path matches a word from the list, the letters are highlighted and the word is crossed off the list. Incorrect selections result in no change to the grid. The player can adjust the selection direction by moving the cursor in any of the eight cardinal or diagonal directions. A hint button is available, which highlights the first letter of a random unsolved word. The game interface includes a pause menu that allows the player to restart the current puzzle or return to the level selection screen. The timer, if enabled, counts upward from zero and stops when all words are found. The game does not require any keyboard input or complex gestures. All interactions are limited to point-and-click or tap-and-drag actions.
