Description

Wooden Block Blast Master is a puzzle video game developed for mobile platforms. The game presents a grid-based playing field, typically 10 by 10 cells, where the objective is to clear rows and columns by placing wooden-textured blocks of various shapes. The blocks, resembling tetrominoes and other polyominoes, are presented in a queue of three at the bottom of the screen. The player must drag and drop each block onto the grid. A block can only be placed in an empty space that exactly matches its shape. Once a horizontal row or vertical column is completely filled with blocks, that line is cleared from the grid, awarding points and freeing up space. The game ends when no remaining blocks in the queue can be placed on the grid. There is no time limit, and the core challenge lies in spatial planning and long-term strategy to prevent the grid from filling up. The game features a minimalist visual design with a clean, light-colored background and distinct, shadowed wooden blocks. It includes a scoring system that tracks the current score and a high score. Some versions may offer power-ups, such as a bomb to remove a single block or a shuffle to rearrange the queue, though these are not present in the base mode. The game is designed for single-player, offline play.

Instructions

Gameplay and controls are executed entirely through touch input. The player is presented with a grid and a set of three block shapes at the bottom of the screen. To place a block, the player touches and holds a block from the queue. The block then becomes attached to the finger. The player drags the block over the grid. A translucent preview of the block appears on the grid, indicating the potential placement location. The preview changes color to indicate validity: a green outline or highlight signifies a valid placement where all cells are empty, while a red outline indicates an invalid placement where the block overlaps occupied cells or extends beyond the grid boundaries. The player releases the touch to drop the block into the valid position. If the placement is invalid, the block snaps back to the queue. After a block is placed, the game checks for any completely filled horizontal rows or vertical columns. If found, those lines are instantly removed with a brief animation, and the score increases. The player then selects the next block from the remaining queue. The queue does not refresh until all three blocks have been placed. After all three are placed, a new set of three blocks appears. The game provides no undo function. The primary control is a single-finger drag-and-drop. No buttons or menus are required for the core gameplay loop. The game ends when the player attempts to place a block but no valid position exists for any of the three available blocks.
