Description

Warfare Area 3 is a first-person shooter video game developed and published by Dedicated Games. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in October 2023. The game is the third main installment in the Warfare Area series, following Warfare Area 2 (2019). The narrative is set in a fictional near-future conflict between the Atlantic Coalition and the Eastern Federation. The single-player campaign follows a multinational special operations unit tasked with disabling a weaponized orbital satellite network. The game features a branching storyline with multiple endings determined by player choices during key mission objectives. Warfare Area 3 utilizes a modified version of the Unreal Engine 5, supporting real-time ray tracing and dynamic destruction of environmental structures. The title received a rating of M for Mature from the Entertainment Software Rating Board due to depictions of intense violence and strong language. The game’s soundtrack was composed by Michael McCann. Multiplayer modes include Team Deathmatch, Domination, and a new mode titled Siege, which involves attacking and defending fortified positions across large-scale maps. The game supports cross-platform play between all released platforms.
