Description

Underground Parking is a simulation video game developed by PixelPerfect Studios and released in 2022 for personal computers and mobile platforms. The game places the player in the role of a parking garage attendant responsible for managing the flow of vehicles within a multi-level subterranean facility. The primary objective is to direct cars, trucks, and motorcycles to designated parking spots while avoiding collisions, managing time constraints, and maintaining an orderly queue at the entrance. The environment is rendered in a top-down perspective, with each level of the garage depicted as a grid of lanes, ramps, and numbered spaces. The game features a progression system where new levels introduce larger garages, more complex layouts, and additional vehicle types, including electric cars requiring charging stations and oversized vans needing wider berths. A scoring system awards points based on the number of vehicles successfully parked, the speed of completion, and the absence of damage. Penalties are applied for collisions, blocking pathways, or exceeding the time limit. The visual style is minimalist, with flat colors and clear signage to indicate directions and restrictions. Sound effects include engine noises, tire squeals, and a timer countdown. The game does not include a narrative or character development, focusing entirely on spatial reasoning and time management challenges.

Instructions

Gameplay and controls are structured around direct manipulation of vehicles using a point-and-click or touch interface. The player selects a vehicle by clicking or tapping on it, which highlights the car and displays a path to the nearest available parking spot. The player then confirms the destination by clicking or tapping the target space. The vehicle autonomously navigates the route, but the player must monitor its progress to ensure it does not collide with other moving cars or static obstacles. The player can cancel a command at any time by clicking the vehicle again, returning it to its previous position. A toolbar at the bottom of the screen displays the current level objective, remaining time, and a score counter. The player can also zoom in and out using a scroll wheel or pinch gesture, and pan the view by dragging the screen. On mobile devices, controls are identical, with touch inputs replacing mouse clicks. The game supports both portrait and landscape orientations. A pause menu allows the player to restart the level, adjust sound volume, or quit to the main menu. No keyboard shortcuts are available; all actions are performed through the cursor or touch. The game does not include multiplayer or online features.
