Description

Stealth Master Sneak Cat is a single-player, third-person stealth action game developed by an independent studio and released in 2023 for PC and mobile platforms. The game places the player in control of a domestic cat tasked with navigating human-occupied environments without being detected. The narrative premise involves the cat attempting to retrieve a stolen object from a series of increasingly secure residential and commercial buildings. The game world is rendered in a low-poly, cel-shaded art style, with a muted color palette that emphasizes shadows and hiding spots. Sound design is a core component, with the cat’s footsteps, object interactions, and ambient human noises playing a critical role in detection mechanics. The game features a linear level progression across ten stages, each introducing new obstacles such as motion sensors, guard dogs, and human patrol routes. The primary objective in each level is to reach a designated exit point while avoiding line-of-sight with human characters and triggering alarms. The game includes a scoring system based on time, stealth efficiency, and the number of collectible items found, with a three-star rating for each completed level.

Instructions

Gameplay and controls are structured around a combination of movement, hiding, and environmental interaction. The player character moves using the WASD keys on PC or a virtual joystick on mobile devices. The camera is controlled by the mouse or by dragging on the touchscreen. The cat can perform four primary actions: walk, sprint, crouch, and pounce. Sprinting increases speed but generates noise that alerts nearby humans. Crouching reduces the cat’s profile and muffles footsteps, allowing passage through narrow gaps and under furniture. The pounce action is a short-range, silent leap used to cross gaps or knock over small objects. The game features a dedicated hide button that causes the cat to enter a predefined hiding spot, such as a box, a cabinet, or a curtain. While hidden, the cat is invisible to humans and sensors. A detection meter appears on the screen when a human or sensor is within range, filling from green to red as the cat is spotted. The player can interact with objects by pressing the E key or tapping an on-screen icon. These interactions include pushing items to create noise distractions, turning off lights, or opening doors. The game includes a minimap in the corner of the screen that shows the location of humans, sensors, and the exit. Controls are mapped to a standard keyboard and mouse setup, with full remapping available in the options menu. Mobile versions use touch gestures for all actions, with a context-sensitive button for interactions.
