Description

Spill Wine Game is a physics-based simulation and puzzle title developed by independent studio Red Drip Interactive, released in 2023 for Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms. The game presents a single core objective: the player must cause a glass of red wine to spill across a white tablecloth in a manner that forms a specific, predetermined shape or pattern. Each level displays a target silhouette or outline on the tablecloth, and the player must manipulate the environment to achieve an exact match. The game world is a static, top-down view of a dining table, with a single wine glass positioned at a fixed starting point. Environmental variables include the glass’s tilt angle, the force applied to the glass, the viscosity of the wine, and the presence of obstacles such as salt shakers, napkins, or bread rolls. The physics engine calculates fluid dynamics, surface tension, and absorption rates in real time. The game contains 120 levels, each with a unique target pattern, ranging from simple geometric shapes to complex organic forms like leaves or animals. A level editor allows players to create and share custom patterns. The game does not include a narrative, characters, or scoring system beyond a star rating based on precision and number of attempts.

Instructions

Gameplay and controls are executed through a single interactive mechanism: the player clicks and drags on the wine glass to rotate it. The glass rotates around its base, and the wine begins to spill once the tilt exceeds a critical angle. The player releases the mouse or touch input to stop the rotation and commit the spill. The fluid then flows across the tablecloth, spreading and pooling according to the tilt angle, the duration of the tilt, and the presence of obstacles. The player can also click on obstacles to reposition them before initiating a spill, though each obstacle has a fixed placement limit per level. A reset button returns the glass to its upright position and clears the tablecloth. An undo button removes the last spill attempt. The interface displays a ghost outline of the target pattern overlaid on the tablecloth. A progress bar shows how much of the target area has been covered by wine. The game provides no time limit, and the player may attempt a level an unlimited number of times. Controls are identical across all platforms: mouse click and drag on desktop, touch and drag on mobile. Keyboard shortcuts are available for reset (R) and undo (U). The game does not support controller input.
