Description
Spider Evolution Runner is a mobile endless runner game developed by Voodoo. The game centers on a spider that progresses through a procedurally generated, three-dimensional environment. The primary objective is to travel as far as possible while avoiding obstacles. The spider’s appearance and abilities change over time through a system of evolutionary upgrades. These upgrades are unlocked by collecting genetic material, represented as glowing orbs, scattered along the path. The game features a top-down perspective with a fixed camera angle, tracking the spider’s forward movement. The environment consists of a series of platforms, walls, and gaps, with a color palette that shifts as the spider evolves. The game does not include a narrative or character dialogue. The core loop involves running, collecting, and evolving to increase the distance traveled.
Instructions
Gameplay is controlled through a single touch or click input. The spider automatically runs forward along a straight path. The player controls lateral movement by swiping left or right on the screen. This action shifts the spider to adjacent lanes to avoid obstacles such as barriers, pits, and moving hazards. The spider can also jump by swiping upward. Jumping is used to clear gaps or low obstacles. A downward swipe performs a quick drop, useful for descending onto lower platforms. The game provides no manual acceleration or braking; speed is constant and increases incrementally as the run progresses. Upon collision with an obstacle, the run ends. A distance counter displays the total meters traveled. The evolution system is accessed between runs. Collected genetic orbs are spent in a menu to unlock new spider forms. Each form grants a specific passive ability, such as increased jump height, a temporary shield, or a magnet for nearby orbs. The interface includes a pause button in the upper corner, which halts the current run and presents options to resume or return to the main menu. No in-game tutorial is provided beyond initial visual prompts.
