Description
Sort and Serve is a digital puzzle and time management simulation game developed by Studio Fika and released in 2024. The game is set in a series of increasingly complex food service environments, ranging from a small café to a large banquet hall. The core objective requires the player to organize incoming orders, sort items by specific categories such as color, shape, or ingredient type, and then serve the completed orders to waiting customers. Each level presents a distinct layout of workstations, storage areas, and serving counters. The game employs a top-down isometric perspective, allowing the player to view the entire operational space. Progression is linear, with new mechanics introduced gradually, including temperature management, time-sensitive orders, and multi-step recipes. The visual style is characterized by clean, minimalist graphics with a muted color palette. No narrative or character development is present; the game focuses entirely on the optimization of workflow and the efficient sorting of objects. The difficulty curve is steep, requiring precise planning and rapid execution to achieve a three-star rating on each level. The game does not include multiplayer or online features.

Instructions
Gameplay and controls are centered on mouse and keyboard interaction. The player controls a cursor that can click on objects, workstations, and customer icons. To sort items, the player clicks on a pile of unsorted goods, which opens a radial menu of categories. Selecting a category automatically moves the item to the corresponding storage bin. To serve a customer, the player clicks on the customer’s order ticket, which highlights the required items. The player then clicks on the correct sorted item in storage, and the game automatically delivers it to the customer. Workstations, such as a grill or blender, are activated by clicking on them and then dragging the required ingredient from storage into the workstation’s input slot. The game uses a timer bar for each order; failure to serve before the bar empties results in a lost customer and a score penalty. Keyboard shortcuts are available: the number keys 1 through 4 correspond to the four primary sorting categories, and the spacebar pauses the game. The interface includes a top bar displaying the current level score, remaining time, and customer satisfaction meter. No controller support is provided. The game saves progress automatically after each level.
