Description

Solitaire Card Sort Puzzle is a digital puzzle game released for mobile platforms. The game combines elements of traditional solitaire card games with sorting mechanics. The objective is to arrange a shuffled deck of cards into a specific order, typically by suit and ascending rank, from Ace to King. The game presents a single-player experience with no time limits or competitive elements. Each level or round begins with a randomly generated layout of cards, often distributed across multiple piles or columns. The player must move cards between these piles to achieve the target arrangement. The game does not include traditional solitaire scoring systems such as points for speed or consecutive moves. Instead, success is determined solely by the completion of the sorting task. The visual design is minimal, with clear card faces and a neutral background. The game includes a limited number of undo moves or hints, which are replenished over time or through in-game currency. There is no narrative or character progression. The game is designed for casual play, with sessions lasting from a few minutes to longer periods depending on the complexity of the layout. The difficulty increases as the number of cards or piles grows. The game is available on both iOS and Android operating systems.

Instructions

Gameplay and controls are based on touch or click interactions. The player selects a card by tapping or clicking on it. The selected card is then moved to another pile by tapping the destination pile. Cards can only be moved if they follow the sorting rule: the moved card must be one rank higher than the top card of the destination pile, and of the same suit. For example, a 5 of Hearts can be placed on a 4 of Hearts. Empty piles can accept any card. The game does not allow moving multiple cards at once; each card is moved individually. The player can also use a stock pile, which contains the remaining cards not yet dealt. Tapping the stock pile reveals one card at a time, which can then be moved to a pile. The game provides a hint button that highlights a possible move. An undo button reverses the last move. The player can restart the current level at any time. The game interface includes a pause menu that allows the player to exit or adjust settings. There is no drag-and-drop mechanic; all moves are executed through sequential taps. The game does not require any keyboard or controller input. The controls are designed for one-handed operation on a touchscreen.
