Sahurs Evolution: Boss Battles

Gameplay is structured around a series of twelve boss arenas, each accessible from a central hub. The player controls the Sahur using a keyboard and mouse or a compatible gamepad. Movement is governed by the WASD keys or the left analog stick. The camera is fixed and cannot be rotated by the player. The primary attack is executed with the left mouse button or the right trigger, while a secondary ability, unique to each boss encounter, is activated with the right mouse button or the left shoulder button. The player can dodge by pressing the spacebar or the A button on a gamepad, which consumes a portion of the stamina bar. Stamina regenerates slowly when not dodging or sprinting. Health is restored by collecting scattered biomass nodes that appear after the boss performs certain attacks. Each boss has a visible health bar at the top of the screen and a hidden stagger meter. Landing consecutive attacks fills the stagger meter, temporarily stunning the boss and allowing for a critical strike. The player must learn each boss’s attack patterns, which are telegraphed by visual cues such as color changes in the boss’s carapace or specific limb movements. There are no difficulty settings, checkpoints, or save states within a boss fight; a defeat returns the player to the hub. The game tracks the number of attempts per boss and displays this statistic on the hub’s terminal.
