Description
Penalty Strike 3D is a sports simulation video game focused exclusively on the penalty shootout phase of association football. Developed for mobile platforms, the game presents a single-player experience where the user assumes the role of both the striker and the goalkeeper across alternating rounds. The core objective is to score more goals than the computer-controlled opponent within a standard five-round shootout, with sudden death rounds applied if the score is tied. The game environment is a simplified, three-dimensional representation of a football stadium, featuring a goal, a penalty spot, and a single opponent. Visual feedback is provided through on-screen indicators for shot power and direction. The game does not include team management, league structures, or full-match gameplay. It is designed as a standalone, repetitive challenge focused on hand-eye coordination and timing.
Instructions
Gameplay and controls are divided into two distinct phases: shooting and goalkeeping. During the shooting phase, the player controls the striker. A power bar appears at the bottom of the screen, which fills and empties in a continuous cycle. The player must tap the screen to stop the bar at a desired power level. Immediately after, a directional reticle appears on the goal. The player drags a finger across the screen to move this reticle to a target location within the goal frame. Releasing the finger executes the shot. The ball travels toward the selected point with the selected power. During the goalkeeping phase, the player controls the goalkeeper. The computer-controlled striker runs up and kicks the ball. The player must swipe left, right, up, or down on the screen to dive the goalkeeper in the corresponding direction. The timing of the swipe determines the success of the save. A successful save occurs when the goalkeeper’s dive path intersects the ball’s trajectory. The game provides no manual control over the goalkeeper’s starting position or jump height. The interface consists of a single touchscreen with no external controller support. The game ends after all rounds are completed, displaying a final score and a win or loss message.
