Noobik Battlegrounds is a multiplayer online battle arena game developed by the independent studio PixelForge Games and released in early 2023. The game is set in a fictional, procedurally generated archipelago known as the Shattered Isles, where players assume the role of customizable avatars called "Noobiks." The core objective is to eliminate opposing players and be the last surviving entity or team standing. Matches typically support up to 60 players per session, with a match duration averaging between 15 and 25 minutes. The game features a top-down perspective with a stylized, low-polygon art style. A distinct mechanic is the "Gear Scramble" system, where weapons, armor, and consumable items drop randomly from destructible crates scattered across the map, rather than being selected before a match. The game includes both solo and squad-based modes, with squads consisting of up to four players. Noobik Battlegrounds is available on Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms, with cross-platform play enabled. The game receives regular updates that introduce new map variants, seasonal events, and balance adjustments.

Gameplay in Noobik Battlegrounds is controlled through a combination of keyboard and mouse inputs. Movement is managed using the W, A, S, and D keys, which direct the Noobik avatar in forward, left, backward, and right directions relative to the camera. The mouse controls the aiming reticle and camera rotation. The left mouse button fires the currently equipped weapon, while the right mouse button activates a secondary function, such as aiming down sights or blocking with a shield. The spacebar initiates a short dash or dodge roll, which has a cooldown period of three seconds. The number keys 1 through 4 correspond to weapon and item slots, allowing quick switching between two weapons and two consumable items. The E key is used to interact with objects, including opening crates, reviving downed teammates, and activating environmental hazards. The Q key toggles the Gear Scramble inventory screen, where players can view and discard items. The Tab key displays the match scoreboard and current player count. The R key reloads the active weapon. The F key performs a contextual action, such as climbing over low walls or entering vehicles. Vehicles, which include hoverbikes and armored jeeps, are controlled with the same movement keys, with the left mouse button activating mounted weapons. The Esc key pauses the game and opens the settings menu. Communication is facilitated through a text chat activated by the Enter key and a voice chat system toggled by the V key.
