Description
Mage Adventure: Mighty Raid is a single-player role-playing game developed by Silverlight Studios and released in 2023 for personal computers and mobile platforms. The game is set in the fictional kingdom of Aetheris, where a magical cataclysm has shattered the barrier between the mortal realm and the elemental planes. The player assumes the role of a mage, the last surviving member of an ancient order tasked with sealing the rifts. The narrative progresses through a series of linear quests, each culminating in a raid against a powerful elemental lord. The game world is divided into distinct biomes, each corresponding to an elemental plane: the Scorched Wastes (fire), the Abyssal Depths (water), the Skyreach Peaks (air), and the Earthen Core (earth). The game features a top-down isometric perspective with hand-drawn 2D sprites. Combat is turn-based, emphasizing resource management and spell synergy. The game includes a crafting system for potions and scrolls, and a skill tree with three specializations: Pyromancy, Cryomancy, and Arcanum. The game has no multiplayer or online components. The soundtrack is composed of ambient orchestral pieces. The game’s length is approximately 20 hours for a single playthrough.
Instructions
Gameplay and controls are managed through a point-and-click interface on personal computers and a virtual joystick and button layout on mobile devices. The player controls a single mage character. Movement is executed by clicking a destination on the ground or tapping a location on the touchscreen. Interaction with objects, non-player characters, and lootable containers is performed by clicking or tapping on them. Combat is initiated automatically when the mage enters an enemy’s aggro range. The player selects spells from a radial menu or a hotbar at the bottom of the screen. The hotbar contains six slots for equipped spells. Each spell has a mana cost and a cooldown period. The player can pause the game at any time to issue commands, a feature called Tactical Pause. During a raid, the player must defeat a sequence of enemy waves before facing the elemental lord. The boss encounter requires the player to dodge telegraphed area-of-effect attacks by moving the character. The player can use potions from an inventory screen, accessed by pressing the I key or tapping an inventory icon. The skill tree is accessed via the T key or a dedicated menu button. The game saves automatically at checkpoints and before boss fights. There is no manual save option. The camera can be rotated using the Q and E keys or by swiping on the screen. The game provides a tutorial level that explains basic movement, spell casting, and potion usage.
