Description

Klondike Solitaire Pro is a digital adaptation of the classic Klondike Solitaire card game, developed for personal computers and mobile platforms. The game simulates the traditional single-player card game using a standard 52-card deck. Its primary objective is to build four foundation piles, one for each suit, in ascending order from Ace to King. The game presents a standard tableau layout consisting of seven columns, with the first column containing one card, the second containing two, and so on up to seven. Only the top card of each tableau column is face-up. The remaining cards form a stock pile, from which the player draws cards to a waste pile. The game includes a scoring system based on card movements and time, with a standard starting score of zero and deductions for moves in timed modes. Klondike Solitaire Pro offers multiple difficulty settings, including draw-one and draw-three modes, as well as customizable backgrounds and card designs. The software tracks statistics such as win rate, fastest completion time, and total games played. It is designed to operate without an internet connection and does not include advertisements or in-app purchases in its standard version.

Instructions

Gameplay and controls are managed through a point-and-click interface on desktop or touch input on mobile devices. The player interacts with cards by clicking or tapping to select and move them. To move a card from the tableau to a foundation pile, the player selects the card and then clicks or taps the foundation area. Cards can be moved between tableau columns if they follow descending order and alternating colors. A sequence of face-up cards can be moved as a group if they are in proper order. The stock pile is accessed by clicking or tapping the stock area, which turns over one card (in draw-one mode) or three cards (in draw-three mode) to the waste pile. The top card of the waste pile can be played to the tableau or foundation. An undo button allows the player to reverse the last move, with a limited number of undos available depending on the game settings. A hint button highlights a possible move. The game automatically moves cards to the foundation when possible if the auto-play option is enabled. The player can restart the current game or start a new game from the menu. The timer starts with the first move and pauses when the game is minimized or the pause button is activated. Scoring is calculated based on card movements: moving a card from the waste to the tableau or foundation awards five points, moving a card from the tableau to the foundation awards ten points, and turning over a card in the tableau awards five points. The game ends when all cards are moved to the foundation piles or when no further moves are possible.
