Description

Kids Animal Farming is a simulation video game developed for children aged four to eight years. The game presents a virtual farm environment populated with domesticated animals including cows, chickens, sheep, goats, and horses. The primary objective is to manage the daily care of these animals through a series of simple, repetitive tasks. The game world is rendered in bright, saturated colors with large, simplified character models and minimal background detail. No narrative or story progression exists; the experience is cyclical and task-based. The game is available on tablet and smartphone platforms, as well as on personal computers via web browsers. It was first released in 2018 by the independent studio Tiny Tots Interactive. The game contains no in-app purchases, advertisements, or external links. All interactions are confined to the farm setting. The sound design consists of ambient barnyard noises and short, looped musical phrases. The game does not include any competitive elements, scoring systems, or time limits. Its design prioritizes accessibility over challenge.

Instructions

Gameplay is structured around a set of core interactions performed via touch or mouse input. The player selects an animal by tapping or clicking on it. This action opens a context menu with three icons: a feed bucket, a water trough, and a brush. Tapping the feed bucket icon causes the animal to eat from a virtual pile of hay. Tapping the water icon makes the animal drink from a virtual water source. Tapping the brush icon initiates a grooming animation where a brush moves across the animal’s body. Each action takes approximately three seconds to complete. After completing all three actions for a given animal, a small heart icon appears above its head, indicating the animal is satisfied. The player must repeat this process for every animal on the farm. The farm contains a fixed number of animals, typically six. Once all animals are satisfied, a brief celebration animation plays, and the game resets, allowing the player to begin the cycle again. There is no progression to new farms or additional animals. The interface consists of a static top-down view of the farm. No camera controls or zoom functions are available. The only control outside of animal interaction is a pause button located in the upper right corner of the screen. The game does not require reading skills, as all menu options are represented by icons.
