Description
Home Rush: Draw to Home is a puzzle-strategy mobile game developed by an independent studio. The game presents a minimalist visual style, featuring a clean, two-dimensional playing field with a single continuous path. The objective is to guide a small, animated character, often depicted as a runner or a vehicle, from a starting point to a designated home base. The core mechanic involves the player drawing a line on the screen to create a road for the character to follow. The game world is populated with various obstacles, including gaps, walls, and moving hazards, which the drawn path must navigate around. The path is constructed in real-time, and the character begins moving as soon as the drawing is complete. The game employs a physics-based movement system, where the character’s speed and trajectory are influenced by the shape and slope of the drawn line. Levels are structured in a linear progression, with increasing complexity and new obstacle types introduced as the player advances. The game includes a scoring system based on the time taken to complete a level and the efficiency of the drawn path. A limited number of attempts are provided per level, with the option to use in-game currency for additional tries. The game is available on both iOS and Android platforms.
Instructions
Gameplay and controls are centered on a single touch or click input. The player initiates a level by tapping the screen. To create a path, the player presses and holds a finger on the touchscreen or a mouse button on the screen. While holding, the player drags the finger or cursor across the screen to draw a continuous line from the character’s starting position toward the home base. The line is drawn in real-time, appearing as a solid, colored road. The player must ensure the line avoids all obstacles, such as pits, spikes, and moving barriers. The line cannot intersect itself or pass through solid objects. Once the player releases the finger or mouse button, the drawing is finalized. The character immediately begins moving along the drawn path from the start point to the end point. The character’s movement speed is constant, but the path’s angle affects its momentum; steep downward slopes increase speed, while upward slopes slow it down. If the character falls off the path due to a gap or hits an obstacle, the level is failed, and the player must restart. The game interface includes a pause button in the top corner, a level select menu, and a settings option for sound and vibration. No other control inputs are used; all interaction is performed through drawing and releasing.
