Description
EuroFlag Quiz: Master the Flags of Europe is a digital educational game developed for personal computers and mobile devices. The game focuses on the recognition and memorization of the national flags of European sovereign states and dependent territories. The database includes flags from all 50 recognized European countries, as well as select autonomous regions and overseas territories with distinct flags. The game presents each flag as a high-resolution, accurately colored image against a neutral background. The primary objective is to associate each flag with its correct country name. The game does not include historical flags, regional subdivisions, or non-sovereign entities outside of the specified territories. The content is static and does not update dynamically based on current political changes. The game is designed for single-player use and does not feature online multiplayer or leaderboards. The interface is minimalist, with a focus on the flag image and answer options. The game is available in multiple languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, and Italian. No in-game purchases or advertisements are present. The game is intended for users aged 10 and above, with no explicit content or violence.
Instructions
The game operates through a series of timed or untimed quiz rounds. At the start of each round, a single flag image is displayed in the center of the screen. Below the flag, four text-based answer options are presented, each listing a country name. The player selects one of the four options by clicking or tapping on it. A correct selection triggers a brief green highlight and advances to the next flag. An incorrect selection triggers a red highlight and displays the correct answer for two seconds before proceeding. The player’s score is displayed in the upper left corner, showing the number of correct answers out of total attempts. A progress bar at the top of the screen indicates the number of flags remaining in the current round. The game offers three modes: Classic Mode, where all flags are presented in random order; Timed Mode, where each flag must be answered within ten seconds; and Study Mode, where the player can browse all flags and their names without answering. Controls are limited to mouse clicks or touch inputs. Keyboard shortcuts are not supported. The game can be paused at any time by pressing the Escape key or a dedicated pause button. Sound effects are optional and can be toggled in the settings menu. The game saves progress automatically after each completed round.
