Easy Solitaire

Easy Solitaire is a digital card game developed for personal computers and mobile devices, first released in 2018 by independent studio Silver Creek Games. The software is a single-player adaptation of the classic Klondike Solitaire format, designed to operate without an internet connection. The game presents a standard 52-card deck shuffled into seven tableau columns, with the objective of moving all cards to four foundation piles sorted by suit in ascending order from Ace to King. The interface features a clean, minimalist aesthetic with muted color palettes and no animated distractions. The game includes three difficulty presets: Easy, Medium, and Hard, which adjust the number of cards drawn from the stock pile (one, three, or random). A built-in scoring system tracks moves and elapsed time, with a high score table stored locally. The application supports multiple languages and offers optional sound effects for card flips and pile completions. No advertisements or in-app purchases are present in the base version. The software is compatible with Windows 10 and later, macOS 10.12 and later, and iOS 11.0 or Android 6.0 mobile operating systems.

Gameplay and controls are executed through a point-and-click or touch interface. The player interacts with the tableau, stock pile, waste pile, and foundation piles. The tableau consists of seven columns; the first column contains one face-up card, the second contains two cards (one face-down, one face-up), and so on up to seven cards. The stock pile is located in the upper left corner, and the waste pile sits to its right. The four foundation piles are in the upper right. The player clicks or taps the stock pile to draw cards to the waste pile. Cards from the waste pile or tableau can be moved to a foundation pile if the card is the next in sequence (e.g., a 2 of hearts onto an Ace of hearts). Cards can be moved between tableau columns only if they are placed on a card of opposite color and one rank higher (e.g., a red 5 on a black 6). A sequence of face-up cards in descending order and alternating colors can be moved as a group. An empty tableau column can only be filled with a King or a sequence starting with a King. Face-down cards in the tableau are automatically turned face-up when no cards remain on top of them. The game provides an undo button (Ctrl+Z on keyboard, or a back arrow icon) that reverses the last move. A hint button highlights a valid move if one exists. The game ends when all cards are moved to the foundation piles or when no further moves are possible. The player can restart the current deal or start a new game from the menu.
