Description

Dilivery Challenge is a single-player simulation game developed by independent studio PixelRoute Games and released in 2023. The game places the player in the role of a courier operating within a procedurally generated urban environment. The primary objective is to transport packages from designated pickup points to specified delivery destinations within a set time limit. The game world is composed of interconnected districts, each featuring distinct architectural styles, traffic patterns, and pedestrian behaviors. The player character navigates this environment using a variety of vehicles, including bicycles, scooters, and small trucks, each with unique handling characteristics and cargo capacities. The game tracks performance metrics such as delivery accuracy, time efficiency, and package condition. A scoring system awards points based on these metrics, with higher scores unlocking new districts and vehicle upgrades. The game does not feature a narrative campaign; instead, it operates on a loop of increasingly complex delivery contracts. Environmental hazards, such as road construction, weather changes, and random events like parades or accidents, introduce variability to each delivery run. The game’s visual style employs a low-polygon aesthetic with a muted color palette. Sound design includes ambient city noise and vehicle engine sounds, with no musical soundtrack.

Instructions

Gameplay and controls are structured around real-time navigation and package management. The player controls the courier from a third-person perspective. The primary control scheme uses a keyboard and mouse or a standard gamepad. Movement is governed by the W, A, S, D keys or the left analog stick. The spacebar or the A button on a gamepad activates a sprint function for the player character when on foot. Vehicle controls differ by type: bicycles use the shift key or right trigger for acceleration and the control key or left trigger for braking; scooters and trucks use the same keys but with different acceleration curves. The mouse or right analog stick controls the camera view. A heads-up display (HUD) shows a timer, a mini-map with waypoints, and a package condition meter. The player must collect a package by pressing the E key or the X button when near a pickup point. Delivery is completed by reaching the destination marker and pressing the same interaction key. The player can carry up to three packages simultaneously, each with its own timer and condition meter. Packages can be dropped or rearranged using the number keys or the D-pad. The game includes a pause menu accessed via the Escape key or the Start button, which allows the player to review current contracts and vehicle status. No tutorial mode is provided; all instructions are conveyed through on-screen prompts during the first delivery.
