Gameplay is turn-based and menu-driven. The player begins each level by reviewing an order card that specifies required nutritional categories, a color scheme, and a theme. The interface consists of a central preparation area, an ingredient inventory panel on the left, and a bento box grid on the right. The player selects ingredients by clicking or tapping on an item in the inventory, which then appears in the preparation area. Each ingredient can be rotated or repositioned using a drag-and-drop mechanism. The bento box is divided into a grid of cells; the player places ingredients into these cells by dragging them from the preparation area. Placement is confirmed when the ingredient snaps into a cell. The player may remove an ingredient by clicking on it and selecting the delete option. A timer is present in the upper right corner, counting down from a level-specific limit. The player submits the completed bento box by clicking the "Serve" button. Feedback is provided immediately via a score breakdown, showing points earned for each category. Controls are limited to mouse or touch input; no keyboard shortcuts are available. The game does not support controller input.
