Description
Color Rings Block Puzzle is a tile-matching puzzle video game developed for mobile platforms. The game presents a grid-based playing field, typically 8x8 or 10x10 squares, onto which players place colored ring-shaped blocks. Each ring block consists of a hollow center and a colored outer band. The objective is to fill rows or columns completely with these rings to clear them from the board. Rings are available in multiple colors, including red, blue, green, yellow, and purple. The game does not feature a time limit; instead, it imposes a turn-based structure where a set of three ring blocks is offered at a time. Players must place each ring onto an empty square. If no valid placement remains for any of the offered rings, the game ends. Scoring is based on the number of lines cleared in a single move, with higher scores awarded for clearing multiple lines simultaneously. The game includes a scoring multiplier for consecutive line clears. No power-ups or in-game purchases alter the core mechanics. The visual design uses flat, minimalist graphics with a neutral background. Sound effects are limited to a single tone for placement and a distinct tone for line clearance.
Instructions
Gameplay and controls are executed entirely through touch input on a touchscreen interface. The player is presented with a grid and a panel at the bottom of the screen displaying three ring blocks. Each ring block is a single square tile. To place a ring, the player taps and drags the ring from the panel onto an empty square on the grid. The ring snaps into position upon release. Rings cannot be rotated or flipped; they occupy exactly one grid cell. After placing all three rings from the current set, a new set of three rings appears. The player must plan placements to avoid leaving isolated empty squares that cannot accommodate future rings. A row or column is cleared when every square in that row or column is occupied by a ring of any color. Cleared lines disappear immediately, and blocks above fall down to fill gaps. The game does not allow undoing a placement. The interface displays the current score, the number of lines cleared, and a high score. A pause button halts the game and provides access to a restart option. No tutorial is provided; the rules are conveyed through the interface layout and the immediate feedback of line clearing.
