Description

Chibi Doll Hidden Stars is a hidden object puzzle game developed by a small independent studio, released in 2023 for mobile platforms (iOS and Android) and PC via digital distribution. The game presents a series of static, hand-drawn scenes populated by chibi-style dolls, each rendered in a pastel color palette with exaggerated features. The core objective requires the player to locate a set number of small, star-shaped objects concealed within each scene. These stars are integrated into the artwork, often camouflaged among the dolls’ accessories, clothing patterns, or background elements such as furniture, flora, and decorative items. The game contains 50 levels, each with a unique theme ranging from a dollhouse interior to a fantasy garden. A timer is present but does not penalize the player; it serves only to record completion time for optional self-comparison. The game includes a hint system that highlights a single star’s location after a cooldown period. No narrative or character progression exists; the experience is purely focused on visual search and pattern recognition.

Instructions

Gameplay consists of a single-screen interface. The player is presented with a detailed illustration of a chibi doll scene. A counter at the top of the screen displays the total number of hidden stars remaining to be found. The player interacts by tapping or clicking directly on the image where a star is believed to be located. A correct selection causes the star to glow briefly and disappear, accompanied by a soft chime, and the counter decreases by one. An incorrect selection results in a brief visual shake of the screen and a low tone, with no penalty other than a short delay before the next input is accepted. The hint button, located in the lower right corner, becomes available after 30 seconds of inactivity. Pressing it causes a single star to pulse with a faint glow for three seconds before fading. The game does not feature zoom or pan controls; the entire scene is always fully visible. Levels are unlocked sequentially upon completion of the previous level. There is no scoring system, leaderboard, or in-game purchases. The only control inputs are tap/click on the scene and tap/click on the hint button.
