Breakthrough Vanguard

Gameplay is controlled through a point-and-click interface with keyboard shortcuts. The primary view is an isometric perspective, zoomable via the mouse scroll wheel. Left-click selects a single unit or structure; dragging a box selects multiple units. Right-click issues movement, attack, or gather commands. The game uses a standard resource system of Aetherium and Credits, displayed at the top of the screen. Aetherium is harvested from geysers using specialized collectors, while Credits are generated by constructing refineries near resource nodes. The player builds structures by selecting a construction vehicle and choosing from a radial menu activated by the B key. Each structure requires a power grid, indicated by blue lines on the ground. Units are produced from factories, barracks, or airfields, each requiring a specific tech level unlocked by building research centers. Combat is resolved through line-of-sight mechanics; units cannot fire through obstacles or beyond their weapon range. The minimap in the lower-right corner shows enemy positions only when units have direct sight. Special abilities, such as airstrikes or shield generators, are activated by selecting a commander unit and pressing the Q, W, or E keys. The game pauses during single-player when the Escape key is pressed, allowing for order queuing. Multiplayer matches use a standard fog of war, requiring reconnaissance units to reveal enemy movements.
