Description
Bracket Burger is a single-player cooking simulation and time-management video game developed by Fizzlebyte Studios and released in 2023 for personal computers and mobile platforms. The game is set in a fictional fast-food restaurant chain named "Bracket Burger," known for its signature square-shaped patties and bracket-themed menu items. The player assumes the role of a new employee tasked with managing the kitchen during peak hours. The primary objective is to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently within a strict time limit. The game features a top-down perspective of the kitchen layout, which includes a grill station, a toppings assembly line, a fryer, and a drink dispenser. Each customer order is displayed as a ticket with a specific combination of ingredients, such as a "Double Bracket Deluxe" with lettuce, tomato, and special sauce, or a "Bracket Basket" with fries and a soda. The game progresses through increasingly difficult levels, introducing more complex orders, additional kitchen equipment, and customer patience meters that decrease if orders are delayed. Failure to complete orders before the meter empties results in lost points and potential level failure. The game includes a scoring system based on order accuracy, speed, and combo multipliers for consecutive correct deliveries. Bracket Burger does not feature a narrative campaign or character development; its focus is solely on repetitive task execution and optimization of workflow.
Instructions
Gameplay and controls are centered on a point-and-click or touch interface. The player interacts with kitchen stations by selecting them with a mouse cursor or finger tap. The grill station is used to cook patties; the player must drag raw patties onto the grill, monitor a cooking timer, and flip them at the correct moment to avoid burning. The toppings station allows the player to drag ingredients from a list onto a bun placed on a plate. The fryer station requires the player to drop a basket of fries into hot oil and remove it after a set duration. The drink station involves selecting a cup size and then tapping a soda dispenser lever. To assemble an order, the player must combine the correct cooked patty, toppings, and sides onto a single tray. The tray is then dragged to a delivery window to serve the customer. The game provides a pause function and a settings menu for adjusting audio and visual options. No keyboard shortcuts are available; all actions are performed through direct manipulation of on-screen objects. The game does not support multiplayer or online leaderboards.
