Block Puzzle Cats

Block Puzzle Cats is a tile-matching puzzle video game developed for mobile platforms. The game combines the mechanics of a block puzzle with a feline-themed aesthetic. The objective is to place a series of randomly generated, multi-shaped blocks onto a 10x10 grid. Each block piece is composed of one or more squares, and the player must fit these pieces into the grid without overlapping. When a complete horizontal or vertical line of squares is filled, that line is cleared from the grid, freeing up space. The game ends when no more pieces can be placed on the grid. The visual design features cat icons and pastel color palettes, but these elements do not affect the core logic or scoring mechanics. The game tracks a cumulative score based on the number of lines cleared and the number of pieces placed. There is no time limit or move limit per turn; the player proceeds at their own pace until the grid is blocked.

Gameplay and controls are executed entirely through touch input on a touchscreen interface. The player is presented with a 10x10 grid and a queue of three block pieces at the bottom of the screen. Each piece can be dragged from the queue and placed onto any empty cell of the grid. The player may rotate a piece by tapping it once before dragging. The piece will snap into the nearest valid grid position when released. A piece cannot be placed if any of its squares would overlap an occupied cell or extend beyond the grid boundaries. Once placed, the piece becomes fixed. After placement, the queue refreshes with three new random pieces. The player may also hold a piece by tapping a designated hold slot, which swaps the current piece with the held one. The interface provides a visual preview of the next piece in the queue. The game does not include a pause function during a round, but the screen can be turned off without losing progress. The score is displayed at the top of the screen, and the game automatically ends when no piece from the current queue can be legally placed.
