Description

Big Eye FNF is a fan-made modification of the rhythm game Friday Night Funkin'. The modification replaces the standard character sprites and background environments with a visual theme centered on the character Big Eye, a large-eyed, anthropomorphic creature derived from internet meme culture. The game retains the core structure of the original title, where the player controls a character named Boyfriend who must perform in musical battles against a series of opponents. The narrative follows a similar pattern of successive duels, with the visual aesthetic being the primary differentiator. The modification includes a custom soundtrack composed of remixed tracks that align with the Big Eye theme, and the visual assets are designed to mimic the crude, stylized art associated with the source material. Big Eye FNF is distributed as a downloadable file for the game engine, typically requiring the original Friday Night Funkin' base files to function.

Instructions

Gameplay in Big Eye FNF follows the standard rhythm game format of Friday Night Funkin'. The player controls Boyfriend during a musical battle against an opponent. The objective is to match a sequence of directional arrow inputs that scroll vertically from the top of the screen toward a stationary target zone at the bottom. The player must press the corresponding arrow keys on a keyboard—the Up, Down, Left, and Right keys—when each arrow reaches the target zone. Successful inputs increase a score multiplier and fill a health bar, while missed inputs decrease the health bar. The battle ends if the health bar is depleted. Each song is divided into sections, with the opponent also performing arrow sequences that the player must match. The game uses a four-lane interface, with each lane corresponding to one of the four arrow keys. The player can also use the Spacebar to pause the game. The control scheme is identical to the original Friday Night Funkin', with no additional mechanics introduced in this modification.
