Description

Animals Skin is a digital puzzle and matching game released for mobile platforms. The game presents a grid of tiles, each depicting a close-up photograph of an animal’s skin, fur, scales, or feathers. The objective is to correctly pair identical skin textures. The game draws from a database of over one hundred animal species, ranging from common domestic pets to exotic wildlife. Each tile image is a high-resolution macro photograph, focusing on the unique patterns, colors, and structural details of the animal’s outer covering. The game does not feature narrative elements or character progression. Its primary function is to test visual memory and pattern recognition. The interface is minimalist, with a neutral color palette and no background music, though sound effects for tile flips and matches are present. The game includes a single-player mode with multiple difficulty levels, determined by grid size (e.g., 4x4, 6x6, 8x8). A timer tracks completion time, and a move counter records the number of tile flips. No in-game purchases or advertisements are present in the standard version. The application requires no internet connection to function.

Instructions

Gameplay is turn-based and memory-driven. The player is presented with a grid of face-down tiles. Each tile hides an image of an animal skin. The player selects a tile by tapping it on the touchscreen, which causes the tile to flip and reveal its image. The player then selects a second tile. If the two revealed images match, both tiles remain face-up and are removed from the grid. If the images do not match, both tiles flip back to their face-down state after a brief display period. The player must remember the location of previously revealed images to make successful matches. The game ends when all tiles have been matched and removed from the grid. Controls are limited to single-tap interactions. There are no swipe, drag, or multi-touch gestures. The game provides no hints or undo functions. A pause button is available in the upper corner, which halts the timer and dims the screen. The difficulty level is selected from the main menu before each game session. The timer and move counter reset at the start of each new game. The game does not save progress between sessions; each game is a standalone round.
